Which one the htc magic with google or the htc tattoo?
any thoughts and advice is appreciated
Well either would be a good phone, I have the t mobile g1 (aka htc dream) which is an android phone very simelar to the magic.
The tattoo is the newer of the two and has the new ‘sense’ user interface which is basically a prettier version of the origional android interface, this means in day to day use it will look flashier and the menu’s etc look a bit prettier. The important thing to keep in mind is that although the tattoo is a lot newer it is a ‘budget’ android phone where the magic is a much more high end device…the main difference this brings is with the screen, the magic has a capasitive touchscreen, like the iPhone, which is hard and reacts to the lightest touch and is very responsive, the tattoo has a much cheaper resistive touchscreen which reacts to physical pressure on the screen, one of my old phones had a resistive screen and while it’s ok when simply pressing an icon it’s much more difficult when dragging the screen ie when browsing websites and moving widgets etc…also the fact that both rely on just an onscreen keyboard it is important to have a good reactive screen for typing without too much effort! I would go for the magic personally but if you don’t do too much with your phone and you’d prefer something that’s a bit prettier to use you might get along better with the tattoo!
