I need helping designing my tattoo!?

I have been trying to decide on one design for about 5 years and still can’t decide. I am Norwegian and Irish and therefore would like a Celtic tattoo but not one that looks like everyone else. I am married to a Japanese man and have a Japanese last name which he has tattooed in his grandmother’s congi on his arm. I like Japanese symbols. We have a daughter named Brooke (I would like a reference to her or her name, i.e., brooks, streams, or congi, too). I would like something referring to peace or tranquility. Any great ideas? I only want one tattoo and was thinking about placing it in the middle of my back above my bra strap, not above my buttcrack like everyone else. What do you think of that placement. Also, I would like a tattoo on my toe but have heard that tattoo artists recommend not tattooing the toes, why? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Find a skilled tattoo artist (not a tattooist, you want an artist who can draw) and discribe exactly what you want and how big and in what style and in how many colors. Bring any references you can (pics, statues, people, etc) to help the artist see what you are trying to see.

A good artist will be skilled in piecing it all together with your help. If it isn’t right, tell what needs to be fixed and they can work towards what you want. Don’t settle. only say perfect when it IS perfect. Don’t be surprised if they ask for a down payment either. Too many tattoo artists have been scammed out of hours and days of drawing work only to have their design stolen and applied by other tattooists.

about toe tattoos, I have a pink daisyy on my great right toe. It is 4 years old and still as bright as the day I got it. I was able to get the tattoo and walk around barefoot for 3 weeks. not wearing shoes and doing as little walking as possible is key to healing foot tattoos that look good and stay well.
