To tattoo or not to get a tattoo?

My cousin gets married in July next year, and I want a tattoo on my back in honor of my grandparents, who have passed away. The clothes have to go back and open the tattoo will be between my shoulder blades. It is not too large. Do I get the tattoo on my back now, wait another location or until after the wedding?
