how many times do you put moisturizer on your new tattoo?
The tattooist did tell me,and I heard for a second, but I was so pumped about my tatty, that i guess it went in one ear and out the other.I know to wash it 4 times a day, and all the other stuff, so do I moisturize 4 times a day as well? Is to much moisture bad?

when your tattoo is fresh you need to give it one good washing, using a very mild soap.
and keep it moisturized. nothing with any Fragrance is preferred.
You do not have to wash it 4 times a day (never heard that one before)
you don’t want to over wash
if you have one shower in the morning just run the soap and water over it
using the palm of your hand then moisturize when you get out of the shower.
if you shower in the evening don’t us any extra soap what’s on the
palm of your hand is good enough.
never rub dry your tattoos with a towel just pat of the water,
rubbing can sluff off extra ink while its healing.
if it feels dry thought the day put a very thin coat of moisturizer on it
and keep it moist. not a lot just a thin layer and keep it moist while it heals
if your keeping it moist you will notice that there is some skin sluffing off
that’s ok it’s healing and not taking tons of ink with it while healing
Healing should last from 7 to 10 days.
some artists will tell you give it one good wash in the beginning and let it scab.
in my opinion scabbing can removes to much ink, and the finished look
is kinda of faded looking
I have my entire upper body tattoo’d and this is how I healed them all.
and there still lively and bright as the day they where done.

REMEMBER VERY IMPORTANT
NO clorinated water, No pools, No hot tubs or swiming in the ocean.
always always use a very high spf sunscreen in the summer
I use bullfrog sunscreen for kids it’s spf is about 45
you don’t have to put it all over your body, just on your tattoo’s
