After care instructions?
I got my first tattoo last night. It is on my hip. I have been face with antibacterial soap three times on days A + D and 15 minutes after washing. Am I doing everything right? It also seems a little swollen and at one point there is a line that goes through it swollen. It is still pretty painful. Is all this normal? I wear loose sweat pants every day and they have to pull up, then rub the higher beltline usual. My Artists said he will let me breathe in as much as possible so dont cover.
The pain is normal, because you still have an open abrasion, for all practical purposes. The swolen line is probably one area where the artist had a little aggressive with the needle so that the injury of the skin is a bit deeper. The swelling during the next few days as long as the area is not irritated. Are you for the tattoo with a bandage after applying the A + D? I held my tattoos under wraps until it healed almost completely and had never had any problems. As long as you keep the skin clean, moist and covered, you are very good.
