Tongue piercing risks?
I'm planning on getting my tongue pierced a little (and I know it sounds silly) but my sister always says, it is dangerous and bad happens, as a vein in my tongue or I could pop AIDS or something. Now I already knew you could by a piercing AIDS to get, but that's a risk you have to take every piercing, not to mention I'm not going to some sketchy Piercing Studio, I'm with a clean a good rep, where my two sisters went through drills to get her belly button, have tattoos and one is even got her tongue pierced there and they have no problems. I think she's just trying to scare me cause my other sister has her tongue pierced (twice without problems) and she said not to worry, one can simply no milk products for the first week and there are some other precautions you need after getting it pierced to take. Is there any real risks (Next to infections / swelling / lisp / chipping a tooth) or is she just trying to scare me?
There was this girl I knew had their Tongue pierced. The tongue has been infected, and finally turned to gangrene. She'd have removed her tongue so she would not die. With this knowledge prevented me from Piercing something on my body!
