do you label, or stereotype, a person by the dog they are walking?
for example, if you see a big man with tattoos wearing gangster type clothes and a rottweiler, pit bull, or other big, thought to be aggressive dog with a spiked collar waking down the street, what do you think of the person? also, what about the other extreme? (women walking a toy breed)

I think the only stereotype I do is the women with their tiny *** dogs that they keep so tight on the leash their poor dog’s legs don’t even touch the ground. I instantly think this woman is a prick, she’s uptight, she feels lonely and needs a “baby” like dog to cherish, and if I touch her dog she’ll drop kick me.
While I hate that I stereotype, I do it. It’s our nature to judge. If I see a big guy with a muscular dog and spike collar, I think nothing of it… Unless the dog shows signs of aggression then I get worried and jump to conclusions. Mostly though, I just see dogs and their owners.
I mean, honestly, I’m a teenage girl with a Great Dane, about to get another Dane or Mastiff. What do people think of some girl who’s 5″3 walking dogs half her size? Who knows, but I definitely wouldn’t want to be judged myself!
