tattoo cover ups before after

I’ve got a tattoo on my chest i’d rather like to have removed. Can anyone offer me some advice? ?
I’m planning on getting one removed on my chest, its a fairly small one, only covers my right peck. up to my collar bone, and just down to near the bottom of the peck. It has about 50% black in it. i’ve just made an appointment with the victorian cosmetic institute… http://www.thevictoriancosmeticinstitute.com.au/
im not sure if this is the right choice or not. they had some photos of results of previous customers… (http://www.thevictoriancosmeticinstitute.com.au/laser-tattoo-removal/before-after.php) I was just wondering… am i making the right choice?
In my personal case, I tattooed the name of a previous loved one onto my chest. This turned out to be a mistake. I still love the tattoo, but do no longer believe in the meaning of it. It is better for me, to have it removed, as it causes alot of hositlity within me. An Imbalance, in my balanced life.
You can definitely remove it…here are some other options too….
1) Laser
Laser removal is both painful and expensive. However, laser would basically remove your entire tattoo or at least lighten it enough to the point where you could get almost any coverup.
2) Surgical Removal
This is minor surgery in which the tattoo is surgically cut away and the ends of your skin are sewn together. This, though sounding gory, is simple and will only leave you with a small scar if done properly by a medical professional.
3) Dermabrasion
The tattoo is basically sandpapered off using a rough cloth and chemicals that bring the ink closer to the surface. This produces minimal scarring and is a good option for small tattoos.
4) Coverup
Since your tattoo is small, it could easily be covered up. Talk to an artist about a design you have in mind and they’ll be able to talk you through it. Make sure you go to an artist who knows what they’re doing. Some less-than-reputable artists aren’t skilled in coverups and will leave you with a shoddy tattoo that you’ll still be able to see your original tattoo underneath.
I hope this helps some.
