Is getting a tattoo more painful than stretching your ears?
I’m getting my first tattoo on my foot next week. I have a pretty good pain tolerance so it doesn’t worry me. I just wondered what kind of pain it is and how bad it is so i’m prepared.
In your experiece how would you explain it?
It’s a totally different kind of pain, because it’s a totally different kind of insult to your body.
Stretching when done properly should not hurt much at all. If you’re not waiting the right amount of time or skipping sizes then it’s pretty painful.
A tattoo on the foot ranks up there with some of the more painful places to get tattooed. If your ears were stretched improperly then it will hurt a little more than stretching, but it’s a longer process so you’ll feel that pain for a bit longer.
Just make sure you get plenty of rest before the tattoo and you’ve eaten a good meal and it won’t be anything unbearable. Just don’t focus on it. If you can, bring some music and gum. If you don’t have gum just concentrate on swallowing your saliva. I know it sounds crazy but I promise it works!
