Did Sylvia Brown's Spirit Guides speak Aramaic?
For those of you who have not seen the above words, let me tell you To say where they come from.
"Sylvia Browne (born Sylvia Celeste Shoemaker 1936.10.19) is an American writer, best-selling author on spirituality and is a celebrity psychic and medium, "if Wikipedia is to believe. She's regularly on the Montel Williams Show, she founded the Novus Spirit Church, and has a very large following.
At three times during the Novus Spiritus, the following is read:
Arem, Shem, Beth, Sedal, Sacrivalian, Ahad.
Although he expressed the view that it is in Aramaic, it really surprises me, as published in her book "Prayers" ( in 2002) and on the website of Novus Spiritus, it is translated as:
"Blessed are the queen in the amount that is sacred to all who come to her. Amen. "
I was a bit speechless. For me this is a bunch of Jibberish, almost nothing as it is interpreted structured. Allow me to break things fixed:
Arem
It could be "Arem what is not really an Aramaic word in and of itself.
This form could also be the Hebrew name for Aram, the son of Sem
It could also be "the root of areym ROM which could mean "raised" in the causal (to be raised as something caused sound, physically or in). But this would Mirim be better expressed.
It could be `ERAM, which:
In Syria could mean "rough spot" or "Scandal" (!) (Usually this is but the form found in "arma" in Syriac.
Shem
It could be the Sem "name" (which is the most common), but of idiom means, "can title", "reputation" (Eg mean "good name" or "bad name") or "authority" (ie "in the name of X").
It could its dialects apparently from the root of some of SHOM, the means to assess in! " or identify "!" (As an imperative).
Beth
This means, I believe, only one thing that is where the word Beyth "House" (and related idioms, like "family", "structure", "Down". etc.) or the second letter of the Aramaic alphabet (×').
In some rare cases it may mean "between", but this is in Syriac.
Sedal
The only word that the mind jumps this is sadla 'whose absolute form is Sedal. But this is a minority form of a Syrian Word for "sandal", a dialect much too young for Browne claims. Furthermore, much is the most common form sandla.
Sacrivalian
There is no way that this word is Aramaic.
After many hours of searching through my collections and databases, a possible close thing I could find is balyon seyqeyr which means "a sausage-maker's amulet," but these two words (because they come from different Dialects) have never historically confirmed together in this way … ever.
That sounds simple … Ick.
Ahad
This could either the word "echad the Hebrew for" one ".
Or … well I do not know. That really is all that is immediately.
It could be a verbal form
A very important and distinctive word which I expect to be seen, since the translation was, "Amen" such as "Amen" is in the Aramaic language … and amen. Other than that, I would have expected malkah, malkath or malkthâ "Which means qadîsh" Queen ", the adjective meaning" holy "or" holy ", and at least the Adjective means brîkh was "blessed", as all these three words are, to my knowledge, each dialect was on record.
In short, this confusion of Syllables is certainly not Aramaic.
Well, one other thing in mind about Sylvia Browne is that she (and her estranged husband), several times in the past convicted of fraud. Not to bite than, but I believe that this leopard has merely whitewashed his spots. Aramaic is an obscure enough language for people to make wild and generally uncontested claims experience. Hopefully, this problem is now a little less clouded.
