The tip acts as your inkwell. If you overload it, and particularly if you run your machine too fast, it’s gonna splatter. When you dip your needle groups into your cup, only dip it for a second. Try coming down on your voltage. I run my eight wraps at around seven volts, tops. If you have ten wrap coils, you can come up a little. You never need to go past twelve, even with sunburned roofers with rhino hide for skin. But different machines run differently, so try varying amounts of voltage. If the ink is ‘takeing’ in the skin, it should be good enough. If you are going faster than that, the machine might cause uneccesary damage to the skin. Take care.
