Many amateur artists will have designs available on their website for use as tattoo designs. These can be a great way to get both a free design and sometimes a very unique and original design. Many artists are thrilled to have their artwork featured as a tattoo on someones body.
2. Generic Design sites..
There are a number of sites which offer very generic, typical free tattoo designs. The advantage to these sites are that you can access them for free without signing up. The disadvantage is that often times the designs will be limited and not so great quality. Some of the free tattoo designs will end up just being free clip art picked up from some free software program which isn’t even intended to be related towards tattooing or tattoos. So make sure the designs are of a high enough quality that they will make a good tattoo.

There are also a few tattoo sites which feature very high quality designs which were made specifically for tattooing. You usually have to sign up and join the site, but in return you get access to literally hundreds of different designs, from old school to the most modern ink available.
