I would like to translate the word "election" in Hebrew for a tattoo. Help with translation?

If, after I went, I would to my local synagogue and ask someone you know Hebrew, but I would omit the fact that you want it for a tattoo. Judaism is very strongly against a voluntary permanent tattoos (with few exceptions in the case of ultra-modern rabbis), and most are very faithful in their support of rabbis the tattoo ban.
